More HD Radio in Toronto...Finally

Looks like Bell's CHUM-FM and CKFM are again broadcasting HD1 and HD2 for the first time since last August... Hopefully they won't set the CN tower on fire again...

Well...the two stations were broadcasting in HD briefly. The IBOC was turned off CHUM-FM yesterday and off CKFM today. Anyone have any updates as to what is going on?

Probably testing.  How did it even cause a fire?

I don't recall anyone confirming the IBOC equipment caused the fire at the CN Tower last year. I think the fact that both CHUM-FM and CKFM lost their HD services on the same day as the fire was sufficient circumstantial evidence for some.

No need for CKFM HD if they've got 1010/1050 both on 104.5. This is the more sensible setup.
