Say what ?

Heard today on two hourly newscasts. " The teen was shot after pointing a small knife at passengers on an empty streetcar "  Some true journalistic professionalism there.

Re: Say what ?

I recall a newspaper article that i saved... buried in a box somewhere... "Death not a Health Risk: Says Hospital".  something to that effect.  Obviously, it was about a single death caused by a kind of virus, but like most news agencies, the headline sells.

Gotta love interns and/or juniors not having mentors to help.  not a new concern, but reporting standards are a thing of the past, sadly.

Re: Say what ?

Getting very tired of hearing  and reading headlines that   " A man has been killed "after" a crash on the 401.
No he was killed "in" the crash...he didn't survive and was put to death after the fact.

Re: Say what ?

He could have died after the crash.
