Like Buffalo, Syracuse is also almost ready for ATSC 3.0

Do you use an antenna to watch NBC3 & CW6? You will soon need to rescan to keep watching

SYRACUSE, NY — If you currently use an antenna to watch NBC3 and CW6, you will soon need to rescan your television to continue receiving those channels.

Antenna Viewers Must Rescan After March 11, 2021, at 10 a.m.

NBC3 (WSTM-NBC3) and CW6 (WSTM 3.2) are moving frequencies to upgrade our signal to NextGen TV on March 11, 2021, at 10 a.m. What this means is WSTM NBC3 will begin broadcasting on an enhanced signal called ATSC 3.0, instead of 1.0. CW6 is moving to a new ATSC 1.0 frequency so viewers will need to rescan to keep receiving the channel.

Cable and satellite viewers are not affected.

If you use an antenna to watch TV for free (which means you don't have a cable or satellite TV subscription) you must rescan your television after March 11 at 10 a.m. to continue receiving these channels.
