(municipal) party politics

Did any Toronto talk show host (or caller) raise the matter of John Tory dumping his deputy mayor?     Didn't realize party politics are as important in Toronto as (for example) Vancouver where its a huge election issue.

It's not so much party affiliation (Tory and Doug Ford both claim to be Conservatives) as much as the deputy mayor being firmly in Ford's camp with an election next year.  Clearly, Tory can't have a Ford backer as his deputy mayor.  Not only does it indicate that he is disloyal, but an idiot as well.

Ya, ponderous behaviour, but more perplexing is his faux outrage on being dismissed
